Job Summary
Truworths is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations through the safe and efficient movement of stock. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth logistical flow and proper storage practices within the distribution center.

Key Responsibilities

Operate lifting equipment to move and organize stock within the warehouse.
Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, trailers, and containers.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and minor preventative maintenance.
Ensure all materials are stored according to standard operating procedures.
Maintain equipment ownership, ensuring proper use and upkeep.
Manually load or unload stock on pallets or lifting devices when required.
Oversee export cages and attend to reject spurs.
Perform other distribution duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

Matric or equivalent qualification (advantageous).
Valid material-moving equipment license preferred.
Proven experience operating forklifts within a distribution environment.
Experience operating reach trucks up to 13.5m (traceable references required).

Competencies

Knowledge of warehouse picking or packing systems.
Ability to use RF devices.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Team player with high energy and multitasking ability.
Capable of performing under pressure and learning multiple functions.
