Job Summary

Truworths is seeking a Sourcing Coordinator with strong fashion sense, administrative expertise, and international travel experience. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in sourcing innovative products abroad while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards within South Africa’s leading fashion retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase finished goods efficiently and cost-effectively.

  • Negotiate prices and delivery dates with suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.

  • Assess workmanship, suggest fabric and construction changes where needed.

  • Ensure all critical path deadlines are met and PLM system is up to date.

  • Apply trader instincts to drive portfolio growth.

  • Collaborate with buyers to achieve win-win negotiation outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience working directly with overseas suppliers.

  • Strong administrative and written communication skills.

  • Computer literate with PLM or similar system experience.

  • Manufacturing background preferred.

  • Experience managing a sourcing assistant.

  • Must be able to travel abroad.
